The Division of General Otorhinolaryngology, which is well-known beyond the region, offers our patients the complete range of diagnostics services and holistic, conservative and surgical treatments.
Our division is a national and international reference center in conservative and surgical treatment of diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses. For several decades, it has played a pioneering role thanks to the Messerklinger-Stammberger approach to functional endoscopic sinus surgery that was established here. This approach led to the development of a certified skull base surgery center that has provided our patients with optimal interdisciplinary care for years.
The division also provides oncological care with state-of-the-art surgical and conservative therapeutic procedures. The division's broad range of other services includes microscopic middle and inner ear surgery, implants, pediatric otorhinolaryngology and therapy for sleep-related breathing disorders.
To facilitate state-of-the-art therapy, our division makes research and teaching two of its top priorities and participates in a great number of national and international cooperations. In addition, individual staff members hold key positions in professional societies.
